The Real Charlotte Brontë

As the 150th Anniversary of Charlotte Brontë's death on March 31st, 1855 approaches, writer Tanya Gold comes to her rescue by correcting several misrepresentations she found in Elizabeth Gaskell's biography of the author of Jane Eyre. (Via The Guardian).

Be it women or men it is always important to tell the truth in an objective and unbiased way. Literary figures like Charlotte Brontë will be happy to know that she is still a subject of study nowadays.

No body has the whole truth and subjectivity plays always a part. I meant by objectivity the fact that a critic puts aside personal judgments when dealing with a work of art.
