I rember that Akkad was one of the first director and script writers that I knew about. My parents being huge fans of this talented artist almost obliged me to watch all his movies. It's sick to know how fate came to him in this manner along his daughter.
One last shameful point. Akkad who is syrian dissent, had not benefited that much from Assad. The sysrian president spoke for 3 hours to the parlement that day without a word of sympathy for the victims of this agression! Shame on him!
I just forgot to mention the sad reality that the late Akkad's daughter was killed as well in the Jordanian Hotel blasts. Thanks for mentioning this in your comment. Our prayers go to all the deceased in this inhuman and tragic attacks.
Ya..We lost him.
I was waiting for his project " Salah addine al-ayoubi"
Peace on him.
He will be always remembered. May He Rest In Peace!
