i guess this can also be applied to just about any other 'luxuries' such as wealth.
Pharoah was filthy rich yet he was inhumane.
Truly, the gift isn't a gift but a punishment in disguise. so that the wicked can do more wrongdoings with the luxury he has. and with more wrongdoings, come greater punishments in the afterlife.
