Algerian National TV Bans "Star Academy"
According to the Algerian Al-Watan newspaper, "les gardiens de la vertu et de la morale nationale" (The Guardiens of Virtue and National Morality) have succeed in putting the lebanese entertainment show "Star Academy 3" off the air from the Algerian National TV. ( Via The Arabist)

you know what, i've got mixed feelings abt that show too, but not to the extend of banning it, i don't think its too offensive or obscece.
Having said that, i think the show is corrupt and the winners are selected in advance thus making the competition which is the whole point of the show unfair. Two times, tunisians were kicked out because Saudis put lots of cash on the table.
Unfortunately, that's what most of the entertainment shows are about: the culture of cash!

A propos j'ai pas accés à ce genre des programmes mais j'aimerais bien savoir la réaction des tunisiens quant au comportement de nos filles dans Star Academy?
@hannibal, je recois bcp de feedback de la tunisie sur la star-ac, leur reaction est en general supportive and favorable.
ils ont acceuilli les 2 derniers finalistes avec fanfare lors de leur retour en tunisie.
en passant tu peux recevoir ces programme pour 30$ par mois, vas-y au dish-network distributor du coin.
