Tunisia: Golden Jubilee Of Independence

Today, Tunisia and Tunisians celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Independence from the French colonization which ended on March, 20, 1956. Half a century during which Tunisia achieved so much and steered its way through the post-colonial transition with confidence and determination to become an active and thriving democracy based on openness, moderation, modernity and tolerance.
