The Internet Umbrella

The Pileus Umbrella is a new japanese high tech invention. It allows you to take pictures with a built-in camera. These can be uploaded to Flickr (a photo-sharing website) via a wireless internet connection and within two minutes you can watch downloaded photo-streams on your umbrella screen with a simple wrist-snapping movement.It has also has GPS and a digital compass, which uses Google Earth to help you navigate yourself around the world. They are working on incorparating a video camera as well.

US DOD To Block Access To Several Recreational Websites

For security reasons, the US Department of Defense will begin blocking access “worldwide” to YouTube, MySpace and 11 other popular Web sites on its computers and networks. Once this policy is implemented, troops serving overseas will lose some of their online links to friends and loved ones back home...
The sites covered by the ban are the video-sharing sites YouTube, Metacafe, IFilm, StupidVideos, and FileCabi, the social networking sites MySpace, BlackPlanet and Hi5, music sites Pandora, MTV, and 1.fm, and live365, and the photo-sharing site Photobucket.
