Remembering Betty Friedan

I just figured out that Betty Friedan the famous American feminist, social activist and writer passed away on February 4, 2006. Friedan is best remembered by her best-seller "The Feminine Mystique", published in the 60s, and which some people considered as the spark that spurred the second wave of feminist movement.The book depicted the role of women in industrial societies and the stifling full-time homemaker role that women had to endure during that time.
