Moroccan Newspaper calls For the Abolition of The Royal Custom of Hand-kissing
The Editor of the moroccan newspaper "Tel Quel", in french, asked His Majesty King Mohamed VI of Morocco, to abandon the royal custom of hand-kissing, which he qualified as a symbol of "ensalvement". Referring to a decision made by King Abdallah Bin Abdelaziz, of Saudi Arabia, to abolish this custom of hand-kissing in the kingdom,the Editor urged His Majesty King Mohamed VI to follow the example of King Abdallah and do the same.
