Washington's Crescent Conflict

I came across this neat article via The National Journal. Although dated November, 2005, I found it quite interesting. Written by Paul Starobin,this article tells the story of Muslims in America while focusing on the Muslim community in Washington, DC. The author states that it has probably never mattered more that this "world city" and the Muslims in its midst have a good, mutual understanding. But an on-edge Washington, it seems, is experiencing its own clash of civilizations.
