America: A Cola Democracy???

Democrats and Republicans are like Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola, they differ in shape but have more or less the same content...

Do you seriously believe this?

There is a huge difference between Republicans and Democrats, both in internal and international policies. If is was for democrats, the US would never have attacked Iraq for example...

@Houssein: I am not the only one who says this, I attended several gatherings where a number of senior american thinkers and political experts agree to some extent. Of course this phrase is used metaphorically. In the case of the war in Irak many Democrats voted for it several democrats voted for the Israeli atacks on Lebanon.A look back in history shows that both parties share the same objective when it comes to the defending the interest of the USA and one example their support for Israel, forget about party ideologies and line of thought.

Well I agree with both Hannibal and Houssenin.

The Democrats and Republicans are equal in many ways. A good example of this is they both give undying support to the state of Israel.
But yet their is a diffrence, Democracts have ties to the far left.

While The Rebublicans have ties to ties to the far right.

I think the Democratic party will be moving more to the center with this win, as will the Rebublican party, as far as Ideology wise.

In anycase, total support for Israel's agenda is a must if one is to survive in the realm of US politics. The Main diffrence I would have to say is that of domestic policy.
